Great work!
Great job!
Synths are clear and melodic.
I like the cute drums, but they still give a clear beat to it.

Lol yeah I was going for a slick synth-y approach with the vintage drums. The next arrangement I do is gonna come a little harder though, given the original melody :)
Thanx!!
Well, you should try again.
I'm not a metal guy, but you have some serious flaws in this prod. Too much overload and bass. Try remaking it, lower the volume and bass. Think about what you can improve :)
I knew it wasn't my best effort.
That being said, you're absolutely right about the bass, though I had it at -5 dB while everything else was in the +'s. Must be some good pickups on that bass to pick it up so loudly haha.
Other than the bass and the volume, the guitars have been really weird for me. I had to have both guitars at 50% pan to each side rather than 100% like I normally do because when it's at 100% L + R, I can't hear any of it. Any suggestions on that?
Thanks for the review!
You can do better
Never played Metal Arms, but most of the song sounds just like a soundtrack from Trackmania Nations Forever. This song is boring since it has only a simple beat and only one synth, which sounds cool, I must admit, but it gets annoying quickly. Overall, good try, but you can do better.
I study Electronics & Electrical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. Day and Night I ride audio waves, searching for the trippiest beats and basslines, harmonic combinations of instrument and synths.
